This is a photo of a
photo...caption info is "T. Gibson, James Hawson, J. Frater Taylor
Inspecting ACR March 18, 1910". There is no other info on the slide.
Note the large lever on the right of the photo - was that some kind of
emergency brake? Also note the English-style chains and buffer plates along
with the notched knuckle for older cars that still had link and pin couplers.

Steelton Yard in August of
1957 - note the old paint scheme on the 10120 flanger. Photographer unknown
- no name marked on slide - just the date and location. Likely the same
photographer as the slide above. This slide is frame #30, the one above is
#26 - I sure would like to have the 3 slides taken in between these two!

Canyon Station on July 3,
1965. On the busiest summer holiday weekend of the year, there is only one
coach and one cafe car on the Agawa Canyon Tour! This was one of the first
years of the tour train's operation (I first heard about it and rode it a
year earlier) and by the time of the Tour Train's peak in the early 1980's
there could be 24 coaches on the train. Again, photographer unknown - no
name marked on slide - just the date and location.
